    Unanswered: Close form without saving

I'm having a problem closing my form. I already have a save record button, which comes up with a message if any fields have been missed.

I have put on a button called 'Exit without saving'. I have tried using a macro and under the save property used NO or PROMPT, but neither work.

If there is only one field filled in and the user clicks the 'Exit without saving' button the database saves that one field in the records. One field on its own is useless & shouldn't be saved.

Anyone got any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

if you use bound fields, the tablefield is immediate updated, so use an unboud form field, and you can replace it in the table (or add it) with an on click event if it has to be saved and just close the form on the on click event 'Exit without saving".

The box has to be bound because it is a combo box

You can add an Undo command to your exit without save.
That should reset everything back to the way it was then colse out the form. Just make sure the Undo command is the first command in your macro.
