I've installed SQL server 2000 on Windows server 2003.
Ran into the following Security Alerts - driver installation: The installed INF file does not contain digital signature information.
and The parameter is incorrect
but from advise, I still continued ... and it works fine.
Now I'm trying to install SP3.
At first I could not get through the authenticating the sa password, came up like it was not correct,
but fixed that by changing the TMP and TEMP variables, and could go on.
Now, I get the following error message: setup was unable to verify the state of the server for an upgrade. Verify the server is able to start and that you provided a valid sa password and restart setup
What happens is that the SQL service turns off, during install.
The sqlsp.log says (after authentication): 15:18:24 Access authenticated

The sql error log says: Using "xpstar.dll" version "2000.80.294" to execute extended stored procedur "xp_servicecontrol".
SQL Server is terminating due to "stop" request from Service Control Manager
I went into properties on the databases, but none of them are set to single user.
I have tried connecting through the ODBC, and that works fine ...
I have tried Query Analyser, and that's fine ...
I have tried Enterpice Manager, and that's fine ...
