Question Unanswered: Pivottables and external databases

I have existing pivottables in a spreadsheet that have values referenced from other parts of the spreadsheet. They currently get their data from a worksheet within this spreadsheet, but I would like them to get the data from Oracle.

I have written the SQL to extract the data in the same format as the worksheet that is the current source for the pivottables, but I don't know how to get them to change data source in code.

Is there any way I can do this and not have to delete the existing pivottables?

Make something idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot...

Sure can. Click somewhere in your existing pivot table. Then select Data;PivotTable and PivotChart Report from the menu and you should get a popup window with the title "PivotTable and PivotChart Wizard - Step 3 of 3".
Click the "<Back" button and that should popup a window titled "PivotTable and PivotChart Wizard - Step 2 of 3" with a button called "Get Data". Click this and select your new data source.
