Unanswered: Can anyone help a rookie??

Just starting to build a database in Access 2000....and running into multiple issues. Here's the first one...I want the database to behave as follows: When the user goes to enter the data on the form I want the date to be "hard coded" (so that the user can not change it...this is the way the data is sorted...by date). Each new entry therefore would be for a different date (the information is only entered once in the database per day).

Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanx in advance.

Create a field with a default value of "Date()". Do not show this field to the user, it will be auto-populated with the date a new record is created.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
