Unanswered: Deactivate connection to Database Server ?

    Hi all.

I have a laptop with application and oracle database.
The application and database should only run on this notebook.
WHat must I do that nowbody can connect from ouside to this notebook/database ? Is it possible that only one connection is allowed to database ? If yes how can I modify the database that only one user/connection is possible...and not 2 or mor user/connection with same user name/id can connect to the laptop via network environment ?

    thanks for information.
    regards steffen

90% of users' problems can be resolved by punching them - the other 10% by switching off their PCs.

you can limit the number of sessions per user.
also, if you have no listener then you can be sure no one connects.

I believe you can verify IPs through your sqlnet.ora file as well as other
    useful parameters in sqlnet.ora
