Unanswered: criteria with Date AND time

I am also a newbie but spent some time searching prior posts to no avail (one similar question was left unanswered) - I have an HR system that posts in-house factory jobs with a deadline of "X" date at 8:00 am due to a 24 hour operation and organized labor contractual requirements. My format is long date in the field (e.g; 11/11/04 08:00 am.) I have set my criteria in the query to show records greater than the date/time in the deadline field. However, the data is actually sorting to show everything after midnight on the listed deadline rather than after 08:00 am. So basically they cannot apply for those jobs after midnight when it should in fact expire in another 8 hours.

Is the problem in my deadline field format or my query criteria? Do I need another field with just the time? or ?? How may I remedy this? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Try >([DeadlineField]+(1/3)). The reason for the 1/3 is that if you add 1 to a date, you add 1 day. 8 hours is 1/3 of a day.
