    Unanswered: No 'reference any table' privilege

    I've found the following system privileges:

    SELECT ANY TABLE
    DELETE ANY TABLE
    UPDATE ANY TABLE
    INSERT ANY TABLE

    since it doesn't look like there's a REFERENCE ANY TABLE privilege, has anyone found an alternative approach?

    Thanks,
    Chuck

    It is about Object privileges ... To grant an object privilege, you must be the owner of the object, have been granted WITH GRANT OPTION on that object for that privilege, or have the system privilege GRANT ANY PRIVILEGE. You can also grant access to all users by granting the privilege to PUBLIC.

    During development process, I always grant "references" to the user that really needs it, for example:

    User1> GRANT SELECT, REFERENCES ON table1 TO user2;

    I hope it helps ...
