    Question Unanswered: Ask UserName and Password on Excel VB Programming

    Hi Everybody,

    I'm developing a small application on Excel VB ( using Excell Spreasheets ), and I would like to add some Security, but I have a problem when I ask for the Password of the user, I can't hide what the user is writting down.
    Also Im using the following instructions to ask the Username :

    User = InputBox("User Name", "Security", , 7340, 5140)

    I don't know if there is a better way to do it, if so, I'll really appreciate your Help.

    Best Regards

    For a little more complicated approach, I developed a spreadsheet that asked for UserID, and then checked that against a named range. If the UserID matched, then it allowed another login Inputbox for password, again checking to make sure that it matches.

    Not sure if this is what you desire, but take a look at this thread.

    I don't think you can do it with the Inputbox. You would have to create a UserForm (to do the same thing), then change the Properties in the VBE window.
