    Exclamation Unanswered: Query Binary/Image Text

I have an application that uses SQL for the back-end. I want to create a custom report in MS Access. The problem is one of the fields is saved in SQL as a Binary Image. It is a notes field that is used for multiple purposes. It can save short text, or pictures. I only use it for short text. When I view the table through Access, it says "OLE Object". So I cannot query it or display the text on a report.

Is there any way to properly display/query this text??

    Thanks

    Abdiel

To simplify my original question, the field is stored as a binary object, so basically it is text saved in binary form. Any way to convert it back to text from binary?

here is an example of code I found to do this on the sql side, but i am myself looking for an access form way of doing this:

    SELECT CONVERT(varchar(8000),CAST (body AS binary(8000) )) from arc_bodies
