    Unanswered: dbaccess and Informix client

I have 2 UNIX boxes. 1st (server) runs Informix Dynamic server 9.4. On the second (client) I need some command line utility (preferably dbaccess) in order to run some SQL queries. Informix client SDK does not seem to have anything to that matter. What should be installed on the client box to allow me to run SQL queries against that informix server?

    Hi,

You can use third party tools to browse ur database from client sdk.
Winsql is a very good tool.

Informix have a tool called ISQL, don't know if it's available for v9x though.

It doesn't like SPL but will do regular sql.

    dbaccess from command line?

    It's just
    dbaccess db@dbserver < file.sql
as a valid user, of course
