Unanswered: What instances are running on Windoz?

    Bah! Frickin Windoz.

Other than running SERVICES, is there any way to list what instances
are running on a Windoz server?

unix/linux is easy: ps -ef | grep pmon

but for the life of me I can't figure out an easy way on Windoz

Ctrl-Alt-Del & then select Task Manager
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.

Only other way I know is to view the process list via task manager.

On W2K3 Server you can use the command "sc query".

I don't know how thorough it is or whether it's available on other windows versions though.

Please don't email me directly with questions. I've probably just got home from the pub and cannot guarantee the sanity of my answers. In fact, I can't believe I actually made it home.
