I have made great progress over the last two weeks. (Thanks Everyone)
I am almost at a usable version of my work.
I importing two tables froma flat file.
I then Update Query both of them to modify the number fields to add a decimal to the amount fields.
I then run another query based on relationships in the two tables.
Finally I run a report based on the query.
All is well. ALMOST.
My report is not in Alphabetical order. I found out TODAY it must be.
It needs to be sorted by the NAME of the person in the record.
The name is ONLY found in one of my tables.
All that I have tried has not changed my report.
I tried sorting the tables and sorting the query. Nothing change the order of my report.
Sure. Open your report in Design Mode. Click the Sorting and Grouping icon on the toolbar (a large bracket with 2 smalller brackets to the right and then 2 lines to the right of each smaller bracket). In the Sorting and Grouping window pick the first field you want to sort on and select your sort order, then on the next line down select the next field that you want to sort on and select the sort order.
