I would like to create different directories under the mysql/data folder. I want to store my databases in those folders. Each one of my clients will get their own folder, so no one's data will be mixed up. I want a folder ABC to be accessible to anyone whose host is ABC.com. Users from DEF will have their gl and other databases in the DEF folder. I don't want everyone to have access to the same database set -- I want each of my clients to have access to only their data. Is using directories possible, or do I have to add user and host to each table in my databases and php scripts? How would someone else host a bunch of websites that all access mysql databases through php and apache (on linux) even if most of those databases have the same name like gl, ap, ar, etc.?
