    Unanswered: Veritas Backup Exec

    Can anyone tell me how to RESTORE a Table, not an entire Database, to the live server.

    Please Help

    Restoring tables is a feature we lost in SQL 7.0 and have never gotten back. The only way I know to do it now is to restore the entire database backup into a scratch database, then copy the table from there.

    OK, i need a little help with this, what i have done is put sql server on local machine, and we do a backup using veritas backup exec, and i want to use one of the tapes to restore the entire DB onto my local machine over the network, but i am using all the settings that veritas have advised and it just doesn't work.The documentation is at http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/265692.htm .??? WHAT DO I DO
    I need help with this and i am in a bit of hurry.

    Sorry, I'm no help there. I always use SQL Server's BACKUP/RESTORE commands to build the dump file, then back that file up using whatever backup package is currently in favor. I'm no help with propriatary backup packages.
