    Unanswered: Oracle Migration Workbench Installation

    Hi,
I have tried to install Oracle's Migration Workbench and the SQL Server plugin to attempt a conversion (or at least analysis) of MS SQL Server to Oracle. However, I seem to have made some rudimentary mistake during the installation as when I start the Workbench I get an error message saying that 'no plugins installed'.

I have followed the installation documentation but wonder if there are some things not mentioned that are assumed knowledge such as any environmental variables that I should set for the JAVA environment or other such steps?

    Any advice would be appreciated,

    Martin

    Oracle Migration Workbench

I am replying to my own post - I am an idiot, in managing to save the SQLServer2K.jar as a zip file instead of a jar file. Once this was changed everything worked fine

    Hi,

You can try the below Swissql tool for migration, which helped me a lot.

    www.swissql.com

I used both OMWB and Swissql tool. They saved my time in database migration. Really the OMWB and Swisssql had done a wonderful job.

    Regards,
    Sam
