    Unanswered: Attendance Of Children

How do I do this? I have a database table with a list of children in a class. I would like to set it up in a way that I could mark them "Present" or "Absent" on each school day. I would like it to be done this

    Date: [ ]

    Child A Present [ ] Absent [ ]
    Child B Present [ ] Absent [ ]
    Child C Present [ ] Absent [ ]

Actually, I would like to use check boxes to mark the names. Help Please

Just off the top of my head, you will need 2 tables such as:

    ...2 fields - ChildPK(Autonumber), ChildName(Text)
    Set ChildPK as Primary Key

    ...3 fields - fldDate(Date/Time), ChildFK(Number), Present(Yes/No)

    Create a one-to-many relationship between tblChild.ChildPK and tblDates.ChildFK
You should then be able to create a form based upon tblDates which has a textbox bound to fldDate, a combobox bound to ChildFK, and a checkbox bound to Present. The combobox should have its rowsource point to tblChild where it would pick up the child's number.
You could create a report that displays the data grouped by fldDate.
