    Unanswered: Lookup Column in Table

    Hi...

    I would like to create a lookup column in my table, that displays the employee name, but inserts the employeeID... is this possible?

    it is both possible and highly undesireable.
    ...basically, DON'T!
    but if you must, just change the field's data type to "Lookup wizard" and let Mr. Gates take the strain.
    ...but i still say DON'T

    I agree with Izy ... That is something to be desired ... There are much better ways to populate columns ...
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
