Unanswered: OMS give Target not found error

    Hi,

I am able to discover a an oracle server which is running on solaris machine.
I am able to see it in the SID list in Oracle management server tree.

Even though I have given the prefrered credentials correctly. It gives the following error.

ORA-12545-Connect failed because target host or object does not found

I have checked whether the intelligent agent is running on the server and it is fine.

    Any other reason?

    Cool

Check the listener.ora file on the server and verify the protocol has full domain name:
    Code:
    LISTENER =
      (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
       (DESCRIPTION =
         (ADDRESS_LIST =
          (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=EXTPROC))
          (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=hostname.domain.com)(PORT=1521))
The person who says it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it. -- Chinese proverb
