    Unanswered: shmdt error

    Hi


    My environment
    AIX 4.3.2.0
    IDS 9.20.UC4
    Shared Memory 175 MB
    RAM 512 MB
    SHMVIRTSIZE 48000 # initial virtual shared memory segment size
    SHMADD 8192 # Size of new shared memory segments (Kbytes)
    SHMTOTAL 0 # Total shared memory (Kbytes). 0=>unlimited


    i find the error en the message log

    16:32:42 shmdt: errno = 22
    16:32:42 create_tcb: cannot allocate memory

    16:32:42 (965) connection rejected - too many users, or invalid user name
    16:32:44 shmat: [EMFILE][24]: out of shared memory segments, check system SHMSE
    G


    and after that some times the system shutdown by panic


    could you know what is happening?

    Hi Luis,

    I think that you must check onstat -g seg, and check parameters SHMMNI, SHMMNS, SHMMAX, NPROCS and NFILES.
