between [start date] and [end date], this will prompt you for the dates. You can also use text controls on a form to complete the dates in. Then put the [forms]![form name]![control name]. You can use format(criteria, short date) or format(field Name, short date) to change the formats to match. Hope this helps
DJN got it right. If you place 'Between [Enter start date] And [Enter end date]' in the criteria of the date field in the query, when you run the query, you should have a parameter request box pop up that says "Enter start date" and then another one that says "Enter end date". When I do this, I usually name my dynamic criteria field something like [Enter Start Date (MM/DD/YY)] so that the user knows how I expect to have the date entered.
