    Question Unanswered: display data for checkboxes in the report..

    Hi,

    How can I display data for checkbox in the report if that checkbox is checked as yes? I mean..if no checkbox is checked none should be displayed in the report and if user checks..say one or two checkboxes in the form..I want them to be displayed in the report.

    How can I do that? Please help me.

    Thanks

    Build a query for the report to harvest data from the table with.

    In your query, you can put

    TRUE

    as the criteria for that checkbox field, then base your report off the query!

    I tried doing this but its has shown a check box in the report even if its not checked and is displayed always.

    say..I have two checkboxes: BA; MA .

    If I check BA in the form I should see records with BA degree as checkbox checked in the report. And on the other hand if I check MA I just want to see MA checkbox in the report as checked with toher personal info. IN the second case I don't want to see BA checkbox in the report. I want a check box to be visible only when user checks that checkbox in the form otherwise not.
    Hope I clarified little bit more..

    Sounds like the basic table design is incorrect
    you are using a checkbox for something which shouldbe an option (either BUT NOT OR), however

    The only way I can think of is to place some code in the reports detail "onformat" event to handle

    if MAcheckbox=true then
    macheckbox.visible=true
    bacheckbox.visible=false
    else
    macheckbox.visible=false
    bacheckbox.visible=true
    endif

    this assumes that one of the 2 checkboxes must be true

    alternatively 'same effect as above but imhv harder for a newbie to read

    macheckbox.visible=macheckbox.value
    bacheckbox.visible= not macheckbox.value
