    Angry Unanswered: Runtime Error 2306

    When I use the OutputTo command to output a query to Microsoft Excel and it exceeds approx. 16,000 rows of data, I get a "Runtime Error 2306 there are too many rows to output, based on the limitation specified by the output format or by Microsoft Access." Where is the limitation at, in the acFormatXLS command or in Access? Is there anyway to work around this?

    My code looks like this:

    filename = "CSA.xls"
    DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputQuery, "qryjj2", acFormatXLS, filename, True

    Thanks for any and all help.

    I wonder if this is a limitation set by your version of Office. What version
    are you using? I'm on XP now, and the max number of rows in a spreadsheet is 65536, but I kinda remember older versions allowing fewer rows
