    No it did not help.

    Normally when I make a connection string it goes like this:

    $conn = mysql_connect('localhost', 'DBName, 'PassWord');

    On this particular server, "localhost" does not seem to work. Where can I find this name? Is it possible through PHP?

    Thanks for any help.

    Ok lets try with phpinfo();
    Here you will find all the information related to the server. Here you will also get the hostname. So you can try that on connection to mysql or get the IP and then try to get connected to the mysql server.
