    Talking Unanswered: parameter query

I have parameter queries and then I use them to create reports so users can run those report and usualy they select the date range from and to in order to get results, all of that is fine.

But now I have a request do pick up one date if not null and if it is null to display a different date. I am not familiar if you can do that with parameter queries and if not how could I do that, basically they want to run the report off those dates if one is entered run it off this on if not use the other one.

could somebody helpe me with that please?

    Cheers

I would use the query to build a report and then run the report using those dates as a date range.

So the report would display data according to that what falls within that date range but like I said it can be any of those two date is the first one is null use the other one.

Hope this make sense and you can help me

Sounds like a good time to use an Inner If (IIF)
Such as IIF(forms!dateform!Dateuserputsin IS NULL,[thedate you want instead],forms!dateform!Dateuserputsin)

Disclaimer: I am not a very good developer.

    That's my 2 cents.
