    Unanswered: informix: check all tables

i have over 200 tables on the dbase. is there anyway that I can check all the tables at the same time and unload the results to a log file where I can view it - without running check for each table - a script maybe?

    thanks again...

    you can do something like

select tabname from systables where tabid > 99
send the output to a file
    and after that

    for i in `cat filename`
    do
oncheck -options $i >> desired location
    done

    Cheers

    thank you.

I also learned that I can use bcheck.

    # bcheck *.idx > idxlog

then print it out later on...

    Hi henigfurs,

From the last reply on this case it is clear you are using Informix Standard Engine. In this forum the most discussed product is Informix Dynamic Server. Both products differ a lot internally. It might be wise to specify that you are working with SE in new cases, This will point out the users of this forum in the right direction, and this will shorten resolution times.

    Hi,

I am trying to run Check & Repair commands on database level. it seems they can only be run on table level. Is it possible to check or repair all the tables at one go. Plz Help me.

    Thanks in advance
