Unanswered: The database manager resources are in an inconsistent state

    Hi all,

I try this command ps -eaf | grep db2sysc | awk '$5=="dec" && $6==15 {print $2}' | xargs kill -9 which kills all the instances which are older than dec 15. but when i try to start the database it says

"SQL1072C The database manager resources are in an inconsistent state. DB2 may have been incorrectly terminated, or another application may be using system resources in a way which conflicts with DB2's use of system resources. System resource cleanup may be required.
SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued. SQLSTATE=57019"

    Thanks in advance
    Nandra

This is probably caused by some shared resources (memory segments or message queues) not being released. Run ipcs to see if anything is still there that belongs to the instance owner.
