    Cool

    In Oracel 9i+, when you specify TIMESTAMP() datatype, the fractional_seconds_precision value can be any number of digits up to 9

    Far as I am aware there is no concept of milliseconds in oracle.

    When I was converting sybase data to oracle, I had to truncate the data for this reason.

    Cool

    Millisecond = One thousandth (10^-3) of a second = TIMESTAMP(3)
