    Unanswered: Jumping Forms

    I have been having problems with forms containing subforms jumping up or down as I move between the main form and the sub. It is very startling and annoying.

    I finally discovered it is the "not in list" event that seems to be the culprit
    I am using the code:

    Dim strsql As String, x As Integer
    x = MsgBox("Do you want to add this value to the list?", vbYesNo)
    If x = vbYes Then
    strsql = "Insert Into TableName ([FieldName]) values ('" & NewData & "')"
    'MsgBox strsql
    CurrentDb.Execute strsql, dbFailOnError
    Response = acDataErrAdded
    Response = acDataErrContinue
    End If

    The subform is data view.

    Has anyone else found this to be a problem and is there a fix other than removing the "not in list".

    Thank you in advance for your help

    subforms do not jump around for me when i use not-in-list.
    check out all the header/footer/detail sizes on the mother and the sub: at a guess, the problem lies there.

    currently using SS 2008R2

    Thank You Izyrider.

    Seems the big problem was the open maximized command that I use. I dislike those tiny screens but not as much as I disliked the jumping bean effect.

    I seem to have it worked out to a good comprimise between form and function.
