    Unanswered: Unlocking an object

    Hi,

    I'm new programming for Oracle. I was writing and testing a stored procedure with SQL Navigator and something when wrong (I don't know exactly what). Now I'm trying to delete the contents of one of my tables, but I constantly get this error:

    "ORA-00053: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified"

    How may I kill this lock? I can't test anything more because when I try to write o delete something from that table, SQL Navigator hangs for a while, not completing the operation.

    I would really appreciate your help

    Thanks,

    Federico

    Issue a COMMIT or a ROLLBACK. Perhaps it'll help.

    SELECT DECODE(request,0,'Holder: ','Waiter: ')||sid sess,
    id1, id2, lmode, request, type
    FROM V$LOCK
    WHERE (id1, id2, type) IN
    (SELECT id1, id2, type FROM V$LOCK WHERE request>0)
    ORDER BY id1, request
    /

    A session exists which has initiated a change to data
    and has not yet issued a COMMIT or ROLLBACK.
    The query above will identifiy the culprit (most likely YOU).
