Hi, I have a local mysql database... and a web page in a server that also uses mysql. The problem is that the web page uses "localhost" and they told me I can't access it remotly... so I started doing a script to create the query to copy/paste into a script in the remote page and update the remote page..... but is there a better way?? with less user interaction (copy/paste, etc)
Maybe you need to change to a different web host? With hosts I have used MySql admin area allows setting authorized machine domain for remote access. Then I can remote in to the server and do data sync using SQL Yog Program.
HTTP / SSH Tunneling - Manage MySQL even if your ISP disallows remote connections
Hmmm. This is what it says on the SQL Yog web site. So it may be possible to do remote access this way even if your host does not give support for remote access. I havn't tried it so can't say for sure it will work?
