"Too many indexes on table", delete some and try again error?

hello, I am need some help. I have a database in which everything ties into the main table. I have a large of amount of constraints to enforce reference integerity and cascasde delete opeation. I have it set so whenever the main item is deleted, all its children will be deleted. There are 160 child tables! I am not half way through and now access tells me that It can not index the main table anymore and delete some of the indexes? I need a way to fix these or help with a better design. I am very tight deadline!!!

izy, I think what he is refering to is that he can not link any more child tables to main due to too many indexes.

skurge, what you need to do is to go into each of the child tables (design mode) and click on the index icon (lightning icon) and delete any of the indexes that are no going to be used. I had the same problem once and this did the trick.

    hope this helps
    Carlos
