    Unanswered: Inventory or warehouse DB

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm creating for my manufacture company a small DB that will have multiple warehouses.
We transfer a lot from one warehouse to another.

Does anyone know of a sample DB with multiple warehouses?

I also would like to have the production part built in. which means,
I'll have a table where I keep all work orders I'm asking my manufacture department to produce. Like 50 chairs, 100 tables, and
    100 bench.

Does anyone know of a sample DB similar to what I need?

    Thanks

    Joe

It would be similar to single warehouse database, except you would add a warehouse table with a warehouse id that you could attach to all inventory items/transations.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

In my experience of working in a multi-warehouse environment with access databases, it is essential to run a regular comparison between your inventory Stock on Hand figures and your combined warehouse Stock on Hand figures to track and eliminate inventory/warehouse out of balances, which may bottleneck your production schedules if transfers and/ or other transactions haven't been completed in the system.
