    Question Unanswered: db2 7.1 on Z/os - Image copy error

    hi every body,

    environment : db27.1 on z/os server

    problem:
    i have a tablespace which has attained its maximum extents(251) in space,
    i am unable to take a image copy for the tablespace or i am unable to run any other online utility on that tablespace -- i am getting ABEND S04E error.

    can any one help me from this error

    Did you alter the tablespace to increase the primary quantity? Then I would do a reorg right after that (not sure if you already tried that). If a reorg does not work, try doing a recover tablespace.

    HI marcus,

    yes i have altered the tablespace size with new values for Priqty and Secqty, after that i have reorged the tablespace but the reorg utility is not get completed , it get terminated with the error ABEND SB37.

    OK - run out of discspace!

    Before tablespace reorg do this:
    ALTER STOGROUP <your-tablespaces-stogroup> ADD VOLUMES volume-id

    SB37 means, that no discspace is available. Then you should add a new, fresh disc-volume!
