I have a dump database process which seems to be hanging . can somebody tell me how to kill it . I used the normal kill <spid> command and it is still hanging...I am using SQLBACKTRACK for dump and load. Assuming that it can be killed will killing that process have any affect on the system
In sybase ase server, there is a command named sp_volchanged in order to do somethings related to backupserver like aborting dumps. Could you use this command or another one equivalent to that or did you try to shutdown your backupserver?
