yea but then all the forms pretty much stay maximized.. i want certain forms maximized and others not... also

a maximized form also becomes hidden and opens a nonmaximized form which after it is done becomes hidden again

    example

pickupsheet which is maximized becomes hidden when opening email form which is not maximized
after using email form the pickupsheet becomes visible

In Access 97, at least, just like in the rest of Office 97, if one internal window is maximized, they all are. The way around that is to set one maximized and make the rest "Popup" forms.

A more clever way of controlling window size is to "restore" them and then resizing them through code - check out the MoveSize action and a few others in the help file. Make the "maximized" form fill the entire application window and resize the rest as you see fit.

    Good luck.
