    Exclamation Unanswered: command button for each line of datasheet

    How do I put a Command Button as the last column of a Datasheet subform, so the same button appears on every line (for each record)? I would use this to go to the details screen of the record who's command button was clicked (only a summary is shown in the Datasheet).

    First Name Last Name ->
    John Smith CMD
    Dave Jones CMD

    So CMD would be a command button that would go to either John's or Dave's detail screen.

    Add the button in the detail section of your subform ...

    Personally, I'd just have 1 button on the main form and when you select a record you click the button to do the same thing ...
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

    Hi -
    Are you wanting this button that'll pull up the detail for that record on a subform that uses a datasheet format? If so, I'm sure there is a way, but I don't know it. If you are using a single (not continuous) subform, then it's quite easy to make a button using the wizard and it creates the code for you.
