Unanswered: ORA-06553: PLS-213: package STANDARD not accessible

My company's database has been working for months, then today, I was executing some procedure that'll enable flashback for a session. Then I ran a 'flashback table ..' command (which didn't work since 'feature wasnt enabled').

Anyhow after a while, I noticed the error 'ORA-06553: PLS-213: package STANDARD not accessible'. The users of the db also noticed the error whenever they tried to run any pl/sql function. Anyhow, how can I fix the above problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    I found the solution.

After noticing the status of the package is 'INVALID' ( select status from dba_objects where owner = 'SYS' and dba_object = 'STANDARD')

Run dbmsstdx.sql and then standard.sql [both are in $ORACLE/rdbms/admin]

I was not sure if this is available in 10g hence held back from mentioning.

Check to see if there is utlrp.sql in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin directory. This utility will validate and re-compile any system procedures.
