Unanswered: Determining time/date record was entered.

Good day to all of you!

Is it possible to determine the date/time that a record was entered without having to have code to enter that value into a field in the table? In other words, is it inherent in the record? Thanks!

    DrX,

The answer to your question is "No". The best way to accomodate this going forward is to add a Date/Time field to the table and then do as Teddy states and set the default value to =Now(), thereby giving you a time/date stamp.

Thanks, guys. I had never seen anything about it before and figured that there wouldn't be because records may be accessed in an application that is used in different time zones all over the world at any given instant. BUT, it would've been easier and a use of a tad less space. Thanks again!
