Unanswered: Synching Access db via direct dial-up connection?
- A database needs to be collaboratively updated/synched between two locations that are connected to the internet, AND must be set up to let the teams in the two locations continue working / synching whenever the internet connection goes down.
The alternative connection is through a direct direct dial-up.
What are the technical differences that must be handled? Will windows itself have to be pointed to the new connection, or is it possible to have Access automatically point to the new dial-up TCP-connection?
How transparent could such a solution be?
