Unanswered: Make a little DB for a school

    Hello,
Im trying to create a simple database for the my primary school.
It is for logging the information from each PC eg serial numbers, what printers it has etc, and also what software titles have been installed.
When i try and create a form i cannot get it to display correctly, i want a form with all the pcs details, and a sub form with all the software installed on that pc, is that possible?
I have attached a pic with my fields etc displayed in two tables, COMPUTERS and SOFTWARE - i think the problem is connecting these two tables, what relation ship etc??

    Thankyou in advance

Create a form based on Computers, save it, then drage the software table on to this form...nake sure the linked child master is based of the title.

I would imagine though, that it should be vendor, title and version as the key though

Actually you're missing a junction table

You should have a ComputerSoftware Junction Table with the keys from each table

Computer is a parent of ComputerSoftware and Software is a Parent of ComputerSoftware

The Subform would be ComputerSofter and the controls on the subform should referecne back to software.

If you establish all the relationshiops first, Access will build the controls for you automagically

The subform is still empty, even with the new table, any ideas?
