Unanswered: PEAR library DB_common::affectedRows - safe in multi-user databases?
Hi all, aplologies if this seems really obvious, but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.
I'm using the database abstraction classes provided in PEAR to run update queries on a database, and I'm using the affectedRows () method to get the number of rows changed. The thing I'm wondering, is what would happen if another update query was run from somehere else between the query in the script and the call to affectedRows ()?
My guess is that I would still get the right result, but there isn't anything in the method documentation that says this. Aplogies if I'm just being paranoid, but I've found that it's often better when coding
It seems in this case my paranoia was unjustified. I've been assured that it does do what I'd expect.
