    Question Unanswered: DB2 Audit Logs

    Hi All,

    Can anybody help me with information on DB2 audit logs to know who did what & when on the database?

    Thanks
    Milee.

    Hi

    The db2audit API logs everything on the database for which
    it is set. See the full command syntax by typing 'db2audit' without
    any flags from your command line.

    You can:

    1. Start it: 'db2audit start'
    2. Stop it: 'db2audit stop'
    3. Extract it: 'db2audit extract delasc'

    and much much more !! Heres part of an extracted log which
    pretty much speaks for itself:

    timestamp=2005-01-10-09.26.33.234291;category=SYSADMIN;audit event=DB2AUDIT;
    event correlator=1;event status=0;
    userid=db2inst2;authid=DB2INST2;
    origin node=0;coordinator node=0;
    application id=*LOCAL.db2inst2.064E30082633;application name=db2audit;

    Hope this helps - and don't forget to configure it to your needs.
