i am building a vb.net that uses ms access as the back end. The problem is that its a part of my college course and our lecturer is making us do all the work through code. we can't use the controls from the toolbar to create connections.
Wndering if anyone knows where I can find some examples or tips on how to work with access and vb.net through code as I haven't been able to find much.
go to google (www.google.com) type in .net for the search string. when the 20 odd million searches come up go to sdearch within results and type in "database connection". You might want to repeat that for MS Access as most of the examples on the net seem to refer to SQL Server connection strings.
Incidentally I think your lecturer is right to encourage you to use code for this, .net doesn't seem to allow a lot of flexibility when using visual components to connect to a database.
