    Unanswered: Dbf file

    Hi all,
I have a file with .SEQ extention. this is a text file.
I'm trying to copy this file to the same name but with .DBF extention.
My target is to link this file for Access.
When I do that in excel that's allright, but Access throws "External table isn't in the expexcted format"

    Please help....

It's not a database file ... You can't take a text file and change it's extension and expect a RDMS to read it like a database file ...
Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
