Unanswered: help with a check box on a form

Two of my tables in my database are "Company" and "Remarks" The master record number for all relationships is in "Company". There is a form for "Company" information. I want a check box to appear on this form and have a check mark in it if there are any remarks for the particular company being referenced on the form in the "Remarks" table. Is this possible. And please keep in mind that I am a NEWBIE. Everything I have done so far is self taught from the help screen.

if the form's recordsource a query: open the query in design view and type this in the top row of the first empty column:

    gotRemark: IIf(Len([Remarks])>0,True,False)

use gotRemark to drive your checkbox

    currently using SS 2008R2
