    Smile Try different partitions

    Are you trying to install developer 6i along with 9i? if you are
    try the following.

    open windows registry using regedit
    export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->ORACLE
    after exporting ORACLE delete the same
    Close the registry
    Install developer 6i in a different partition.
    Once after installation open the registry again, export the registry entries for your 6i installation (choose a name which will clearly indicate to which installation the exported registry values belong)
    Now
    Whenever you want to use 9i double click and migrate the registry values you exported already. Follow the same to use 6i

    Try your level best to install dev 9i and 6i in different partitions. For example if you had installed 6i in C:\> drive choose D:\> or E:\> or any other available partition for your 9i installation
    If it is a door, It will open.

    He means that you need to save (export) a copy of your registry in case you delete something you shouldnt by mistake. Always a good idea when tinkering around with the registry that you back it up. You dont need to actually export Oracle anywhere...
