    Unanswered: Split/seperate field in SQL

    Howdy,

I was hopiing someone could assist me with the following in Access SQL:

Seperate an existing column/field into two columns:
I.e I have text field with numbers of varied lenghts with a '/' in them. I wish to seperate each value either side of the '/'.

Also hypotheticallly, it would be great to know how to select the first or last several characters of a field.

    Cheers, very much appreciated!!!!
