    hi ,

    i want i a query a convert to a date

    i have the following

    2005011

    year/weeknumber/daynumber


    now i want a expresion in my query to have this result

    1/01/2005


    can someone halp me please

    I've just dealt with exacrly the same problem, but in code. I first wrote a function that took something like:

    01122005

    and retunred

    01/12/2005

    (the first value was treated as a string, both dates British formats) and was able to treat the returned value as a date. You can call functions like this from Access queries, and they're quite easy to write.

    This should work: Mid(fldName, 7, 1)&"/"&Mid(fldName, 5, 2)&"/"&Mid(fldName, 1, 4) As AliasName
