    Question Unanswered: Viewing V$ tables

    Hi,

    I need some help in viewing what system tables are available in Oracle.

    For example, to see what tables can be accessed from a user's schema, I can do a "select * from user_tables".

    Similarly, if I have to see what system tables are there, what will I have to do? Do I have to login as "SYS", to view these tables or for that matter to atleast see what system tables are there in Oracle, what will I have to do?

    Thanks a lot,
    sbk

    Cool

    Try:
    Code:
    SELECT table_name FROM DICT;
    The person who says it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it. -- Chinese proverb

    v$ OBJECTS are views owned mostly by SYS.

    select view_name from all_views where view_name like 'V%';
