Unhappy Unanswered: Skipping columns on TransferSpreadsheet

How do I get a TransferSpreadsheet routine to skip columns when importing an Excel97 spreadsheet (in Access97). I can skip columns when using the Import wizard, but I want to be able to do this through VBA.

I thought of using a range, but the number of rows in the range will change from time to time. Basically, I need to be able skip all of columns A and B in the spreadsheet, and to start at C.

    DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acImport, acSpreadsheetTypeExcel97, "WK_bbsmf", "F:\Access\FOX_Sys\41nt\BB_SMFuploader.xls", True

You may find it easier to drop the columns after the fact.
